Boomer 'n Shannon - Cruise'n the Country

  2016 is the 100th Anniversary of the National Park Service.  To honor the benchmark, the Passport program introduced the Centennial stamps.  Because of this, we have revisited some parks we have been to while in the area this year to collect the special stamps.  The first park we visited in 2016, Death Valley, did not have their stamps yet.  To date, we have collected 58 stamps as of 9/18/16. Our total to date is 63 actual stamps (had 2 more on loose paper but lost them - Zion and Great Basin NP).      

Our hosts, Randy and Brenda, carted out around to a couple Atlanta area National Parks.     Real Borax soap used in the vintage bathrooms at the Burger joint we ate at.  The buffalo burgers were tasty. Sunrise from the Airport Sunrise from the Airport  

We headed out early this morning with Randy (GA), Mark (NC) and Butch (KY). We were designated to lead since we planned to hit Ozarks NSR on the way to Acworth. Since we have a group with us we won't be able to grab a selfie at the sign...so here's my pseudo-selfie of my hand in front of the Ozarks National Scenic Riverways sign!!  lol Took this for our friend Scott aka "Hot Sauce"  None of us have ever been though this way before...we crossed through MO, IL, KY where the Ohio and Mississippi Rivers come together.  Pretty neat area with lots of bridges along the Lincoln Heritage Trail.
