Day 2
We meet our fellow UTVROC new riding friends and learn about the ride of the day. Sounds like a fun adventure and outlined below.
Here is the Capitol Reef Inn. Very nice place and we were able to get the bike
2 bedroom suite for the same price. Would stay here again. Great friends made
while here. |
This means heaven to a motorcycle rider. I'm not sure that anything could provoke a bigger smile. |
Joe and Yvette from Colorado in the rearview mirror on the ride. |
This was 1/2 sausage order gravy and biscuts. |
Some of us chatting after eating |
Joe was giving the waitress a hard time about and auto 20% tip,
even though service and food was pretty good. |
Looking back after riding up the canyon. |
Group break |
Scheduled burn... Sign said "please do not report fires in this area." |
Shannon and I were trying to figure out where the top section of the mountain
went? We couldn't figure it out. |
Again, this brings big smiles to motorcycle riders. If you are in a car, please
pull aside and let us pass. |
Pretty nice high elevation desert vegetation. |
More smiles! |
We broke off from the group as they were ready to head back. We wanted to go ahead
and sight see just a bit more while we were out. |
These were reminders for me I think. |
And yet again. |
and again. |
My father's side of the family is from Bicknell, IN and
my aunt has a great pizza place there. |
The owner had a attitude that fit the sign,
my way or the highway. But it was good his
way, when you add onions my way...lol |
This ended up being dinner, on two nights :) |
This is the view just down the road between Bicknell and Torrey. Very nice view to wake and go to sleep to.
