Lake Superior Circle tour - Day 1

Image
I have always wanted to ride around Lake Superior, so we decided to go for it.  Everyone kept telling us about how cold it is, how rainy it is, and it was 80 and sunny every day!  So don't change your plans based on fear.  With that said, the first section from Sault St. Marie was really nice.  We really enjoyed the ride around to about Wa Wa.  Then it was just nice country rocks and trees scenery.  Anyhow, we went to the campground and dropping off our trailer because we didn't need that for just a couple days riding and staying at motels.       Ready to hit the road!   Wow, that outta fill a guy (and gal) up! Yes, I love to ride the grating on the Mighty Mac.  Many refuse, I enjoy the challenge :)  And honestly, it feels weird, but you drive straight and enjoy it. How about a rearview mirror and gating shot! Just in time to watch a freighter pass through the locks millions of gallons of water f

Watching the sun rise while we descend on Detroit  Weird how it got darker when we landed.  The cloud base really affects the amount of light getting through. Finally getting light... Again. Yes!  Ride time!  We haven't had "W" (or Shannon calls it Sunny) for long, but it is growing on us quickly. We always try to get a selfie at the park sign....  Err, the sign under construction... We found one completed!  Look at the joy in our faces.  OK, now back on track to Chicag
