Lake Superior Circle Tour - Day 3

Our day started out with a bit of rain, not too big of a deal until we crossed into Minnesota. Several bridges were under construction and we were driving in mud!  Like the really heavy slippery clay stuff.  Oh, and it was down in a slight gully....  Not pretty folks, and there was no warning, and I doubt there was a way around it.  But we made it.  Not sure a skinny tire bike would have made it though.

Sometimes his head is just in the way!!  So he ducks..  But Ryan wonders why he's not cropped out?

I can get a better shot.

A popular stopping point for bikers.  We chose to keep going and take their picture.

There were Sasquatch everywhere in the UP.  This is the only one we could get a shot of.

We had to get a new headlight outside of Duluth, MN, and RJ Sports was awesome! Anyhow, recent storm did lots of damage to the local trees.  Glad we missed that one.

Awesome city and lake view!

It was neat to see the same ship that came through the Soo locks loading in Duluth.  Shannon was surprised, but I think it only takes them 14 hrs to steam across Lake Superior.  So we saw the Puffin twice!

Yikes, rain again?

Nope, no rain for now.

Just in case you don't believe we are on the Lake Superior Circle Tour... It's official!

Seems like a screwy place to stop.

Old school

Still there if you're checking.

Country roads, mainly farmland, so Shannon got cloud pictures.

This is currently one of my top 10 favorite pictures!
