Day 8 - John Day, OR to Grant's Pass, OR

Day 8 - Oct 15, 2014, John Day, OR to Grant's Pass, OR

392 miles, 2 National Parks and 1 state

Oregon!

This was a beautiful road and area to drive through.

Interestingly enough, this was a neat area despite the lack of fossils.  We visited the different units which talked more about the families and ranchers who lived there than the fossils.  We would be happy to go back because it was so pretty to drive thru.

The old Cant ranch was really awesome!
The rangers even allow visitors to eat apples from the orchard trees!  That is a plus.

Crater Lake! How awesome to go there!  As you can see in the picture above, we are thinking we are gonna be getting some rain!  On no!

Snow! Once again!

She looks crazy like me with slippahs on!

Quite a bit bigger snow plow
guides than we used in Ohio
Slippery with slippahs

I've heard the lake is beautiful...
unfortunately, we could barely see it through the fog and snow.

These were taken at a neat little state park just before sunset.

It is challenging to take photos while driving.  Some views were so cool yet could not be captured...especially near sunset.  This effect looked cool so it's making the blog.

Another beautiful sunset to cap off another beautiful day!
