Harlingen to Brownsfield via 87

Well, most of the fun is over.  We now have approximately 1600 miles to Pahrump to our bike's new home over the next couple days.  We did 1600 miles over the past week since Brooksville!  Much of today was ranches, farmland and oil fields from Harlingen, TX to Brownsfield, TX.  It was a hot ride today...the high we hit was 118.  Toward the end we were stopping every 30-45min because it is suffocating.  We hung out at a McDonalds for over an hour with a hot fudge sundae and lots of water and powerade.
A neat entry to this ranch.

I'm no engineer but this design scares me a little...seems WAY off balance in inappropriately designed.  It obviously works.  If you hear of bridge collapses in San Antonio it will likely be these!
