Day9 Idaho Falls to Mountain Home via Craters of the Moon

Idaho falls had 1 thing going for it...creative gas station names.  Every one had a unique name.  This one was true Hawaiian style - down to the tiki hut grill inside, tropical items at checkout, and of course shave ice!

Took this one for Sherm.  Who knew you can give you Kicks 66 in Idaho!

The road ahead looks as exciting as the road behind us...for miles and miles!!

Yes, we were just here back and October 2014...not a super impressive area but we couldn't pass by without stopping for a visit.  Had to put our push pin in the map.  There have been 14 visitors from Oahu, Hawaii this year so far.  Pretty impressive since the lava is reeeealy old compared to home AND it's in the middle of absolutely nowhere!

I love how the Jr Ranger program has evolved - since I missed out as a child, they told me there is no age limit.  This would be me and my sister about 30 years ago!

A nice sounding road but straight as an arrow
and fairly uneventful

All I know that is "scenic" in southern Idaho...well, it's all about the signs!!

Not sure about the purpose of all these numbers...apparently no
one else does either!!

We headed into Mountain Home and said Hello to the early VROC arrivals.  We had a business meeting in Boise the following morning so we were actually not coming back until the following evening.
